-
kompleksno travmo,
-
relacijsko travmo,
-
disociativne simptome,
-
čustveno disregulacijo,
-
osebnostno organizirane obrambne mehanizme,
-
Posebna pozornost bo namenjena:
-
prilagoditvi anamneze,
-
prepoznavanju obrambnih mehanizmov,
-
razumevanju relacijske travme,
-
organizaciji načrta zdravljenja,
-
ter prilagajanju procesiranja travme glede na klientovo pripravljenost in integrativno kapaciteto.
Klinični primeri, videoposnetki in praktične smernice bodo udeležencem pomagali prenesti teorijo v klinično prakso
Delavnica je namenjena EMDR terapevtom, ki želijo:
-
poglobiti razumevanje kompleksne travme,
-
izboljšati samozavest pri delu z zahtevnimi primeri,
-

CONCEPTUALIZATION IN EMDR – FROM PTSD TO COMPLEX TRAUMA
a practical guide for EMDR therapists
The training will be led by: DOLORES MOSQUERA
Dolores Mosquera is a clinical psychologist specializing in complex trauma, personality disorders, and dissociation. She is the director of the Institute for Trauma and Personality Disorders Research (INTRA-TP) in A Coruña, Spain. She has extensive experience in education and regularly leads seminars, workshops, and lectures worldwide. She is the author of numerous books and articles in the field of complex trauma, dissociation, and personality disorders. In 2017, she received the David Servan-Schreiber Award for her outstanding contribution to the development of EMDR, and in 2021 the MAM10 Prix David Servan-Schreiber Award for internationally recognized research work in the field of EMDR therapy.
Training description
Many EMDR therapists feel confident using the standard EMDR protocol with single-incident trauma or PTSD; however, they often experience uncertainty when working with clients who present with:
- complex trauma
- relational trauma
- dissociative symptoms
- emotional dysregulation
- personality-organized defensive mechanisms
- internal conflicts between dissociative parts of the personality
In such cases, questions often arise regarding history-taking, client preparation, target selection, pacing, stabilization, and the organization of the therapeutic process in clients with multilayered and overlapping difficulties.
The workshop will present how case conceptualization changes when the therapist moves from treating PTSD to working with complex trauma and dissociative disorders. Rather than focusing exclusively on traumatic memories and symptoms, in complex trauma the therapist must understand the adaptive function of symptoms, relational dynamics, dissociative phobias, internal conflicts, attachment style, and the client’s capacity for regulation and integration.
Participants will learn how to develop a structured yet flexible case conceptualization that supports clinical decision-making throughout all phases of treatment.
Special attention will be given to:
- adapting the clinical history-taking process
- recognizing defensive mechanisms
- understanding relational trauma
- organizing a treatment plan
- adjusting trauma processing according to the client’s readiness and integrative capacity
Clinical cases, video material, and practical guidelines will help participants translate theory into clinical practice.
The workshop is intended for EMDR therapists who wish to:
- deepen their understanding of complex trauma
- increase confidence in working with challenging cases
- develop effective and individualized treatment plans for clients with severe and chronic traumatic experiences
The workshop will take place on Friday and Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00 and will be held in English.
